Manitoba is experiencing the effect of the third wave of infections, complicated by the spread of more virulent variants. Diligent implementation of COVID-19 prevention measures on Manitoba heavy construction sites is essential for our industry to be allowed to continue to work under the Manitoba government’s COVID-19 restrictions.
We ask that you impress upon your supervisors and all personnel the importance of following key COVID-19 protocols:
- Daily health assessments of employees
- Physical distancing (2 meters/6 feet)
- Effective hand washing
- Providing clean & sanitary handwashing and toilet facilities
- Cleaning and disinfecting common surfaces such as tools and equipment
- Implementing alternative procedures such as masks and eye protection when physical distancing is not possible
- Effective training and communication of all policies
