National Day of Mourning

BACK TO YOU: DON HURST

April 28 is National Day of Mourning. This day is dedicated to remember and honour those who lost their lives or were injured due to a workplace tragedy. Canada was the first country to commemorate this day, but it is now observed in over 80 countries around the world.

The National Day of Mourning is also a day to collectively renew our commitment to improve health and safety in the workplace to prevent injuries, illnesses and deaths.

MHCA® WORKSAFELY® has committed to worker safety for over 30 years and continues to advocate for and work toward increased worker protection in the heavy construction industry.

On April 28, we ask that you take time to remember loved ones, friends and co-workers who are affected by such tragedies, their lives deeply affected and changed forever. For more information, please click here.
