WORKSAFELY™ caps 30 years of safety, wishes all a very happy holiday
2019 marked the 30th anniversary of the introduction of safety programming supported through the MHCA and the 20th year of the delivery of the COR Program by WORKSAFELY™ Education and Training.
Safety programming at the MHCA has grown from a single safety advisor back in 1989 to a team of WORKSAFELY professionals working with you today. Your hard work has brought about significantly lower injury rates and related WCB costs. During the past year, our COR companies have been further rewarded for their investments in safety with a 15% prevention rebate on their WCB premiums. Your hard work is paying off!
As we approach the close of 2019, I want to thank all in our industry and our staff at MHCA/ WORKSAFELY for all their time and effort in working with all our companies to make heavy construction workplaces safer across the province. Moving into 2020 we will challenge our team to focus on ways to improve services to our industry. We will be adding on-line registration and payment, enhance our training and strengthening client outreach. We look forward to working with you in 2020.
The MHCA office will close for the holidays at noon, December 20th, and reopen at 8 am on January 6th, 2020. The safety advisors and I are available during this period and can be reached on our cell phones, should you have need.
