Eye protection

BACK TO YOU: DON HURST

Every year, hundreds of Manitoba construction workers suffer the effects of an eye injury on the job.

Some of the most common eye hazards are:

  • Flying particles and debris – dust, concrete, metal, wood and stone
  • Splash from chemicals
  • Welding arcs
  • Environmental elements – wind and sun

Always ensure your workers are wearing the appropriate personal protective eyewear to protect themselves from the hazards. This can include safety glasses, goggles, face shields, helmets and welding goggles.
