Construction season is slowly starting and, with an abundance of moisture so far this year, more care is required when preparing to excavate or trench on site.

MHCA WORKSAFELY^® offers a training course for our industry on safe excavations and trenching. This course deals with awareness of the hazards of excavations and Manitoba’s Workplace Safety and Health regulatory requirements of contractors, including:

• Permitting and registration requirements
• The Manitoba Excavation and Trenching Guideline
• Click Before You Dig
• Manitoba Hydro procedures for soft digging and directional drilling
