We are looking for the 2019 WORKSAFELY Safety Leader of the year
All too often, safety managers and leaders go unrecognized for their work. A safety leader’s work is vast, with responsibility for an ever-growing list of safety and health issues and government regulation. We think that should be recognized.
That is why WORKSAFELY™ launched its Safety Leader Award in 2017. We want to celebrate individuals who best demonstrate leadership and vision in the world of workplace safety and health, in the Manitoba heavy construction industry.
The WORKSAFELY Safety Leader award committee is continuing the search for outstanding leaders making a difference in the lives of our industry workers.
A nominee must:
- Be employed by a member, or associate member of WORKSAFELY
- Demonstrate commitment to providing a safe and healthy workplace for all workers through the identification, communication and control of hazards
- Acts as an advocate for safety among fellow workers
The winner is celebrated at the annual Safetys awards gala (September 26, 2019) and profiled in the MHCA’s fall Winnipeg Free Press insert.
