BACK TO YOU: DON HURST
October is Ergonomics Month, coinciding with peaking injuries in the last couple weeks of October. It’s a good time to remind our industry that injury rates rise as the heavy construction season comes to a close.
Fall brings more precipitation, raising the likelihood of slips, trips and falls. Workers also experience stress from lifting, pushing or pulling. These musculoskeletal injuries can be prevented.
Be diligent and take time to review and implement safe-work practices and procedures. This can help reduce the number of time-loss injuries that may last beyond the construction season.
