WHMIS is a national hazard communication system that provides information on the safe use of hazardous products used, handled or stored in Canadian workplaces. GHS will not replace WHMIS. WHMIS has been modified to incorporate elements of the GHS. There will be new, standardized classification rules, new label requirements, and a new format for the safety data sheet, or SDS, formally known as a material safety data sheet, or MSDS.
Description
This course is delivered as an on-line e-learning course. Video e-learning allows trainees to view realistic scenes and be tested on their knowledge retention. This e-learning course is designed to help you learn at your own pace and in your own environment.
Chemicals in the workplace can present a wide variety of hazards. People who come into contact with hazardous chemicals at work need to know how to keep themselves, their co-workers, the general public and the environment, safe from harm.
