WHAT IS COR™?
The Certificate of Recognition Program (COR™) is a nationally recognized accreditation program that verifies implementation of a safety and health management system which meets national safety standards for the construction industry.
COR™ is nationally trademarked and endorsed by the Canadian Federation of Construction Safety Associations of which WORKSAFELY™ is a member.
The COR™ program uses a common audit framework to confirm company compliance with a national standard for safety. COR™ is also used by government and private project owners across Canada as a pre-qualification and/or condition of contract.
WORKSAFELY™ works in partnership with other industry-based safety programs and SAFE Work Manitoba. Implementation of COR enables companies to meet the WCB’s SAFE Work Certification standard and to qualify for the 15% prevention rebate on their WCB compensation premiums.
How to obtain COR™/SECOR™ Certification
As the Authority Having Jurisdiction to grant COR™ Certification in the province of Manitoba for the heavy construction industry, WORKSAFELY™ practices the utmost diligence to ensure that the COR™ standards are upheld. Caution should be taken if any other organization suggests that it is able to provide COR™ training, COR™ audits or COR™ certification.
