The Manitoba Heavy Construction Association’s office remains closed to the public with the exception of scheduled meetings, training and events. Staff are present for curbside pick-up or drop-off. Please call 204-947-1379.

WORKSAFELY® is offering live, web-based training (Zoom) as well as in-class training (3-1680 Ellice Avenue, Winnipeg, MB). We are prepared to deliver needed training on-site in your workplace provided appropriate precautions are taken to minimize the risks COVID-19 presents.

New trainers will gain a strong foundation in critical training skills and seasoned trainers will be introduced to new approaches for delivering powerful training.

Non-members $420.00Participants will be educated in the legal, safety, and functional requirements of setting up and coordinating traffic control measures. Both practical and theoretical methods will be utilized by the students in an attempt to standardize practices across Manitoba. Participants will understand the roles and responsibilities of a Traffic Control Coordinator, as well as review applicable regulations and standards.
*Flagperson training is a prerequisite.

1:00 pm: Safety Committee Training – Cost: $84.00 – WCB Rate Code 407/408 or MHCA Members This course is designed for Safety Committee participants to help ensure they realize the important scope of their safety and health role, and the imperatives of supporting partnership in the workplace. The program will define the role of the committee, employer, and workers. Participants will learn how to handle safety and health concerns brought to the committee, also how to find the information needed from the Workplace Safety and Health Act, Workplace Safety and Health Regulation MR217/2006.
