2024 CHANGES
MHCA WorkSafely is pleased to announce the roll-out of the new COR®/SECOR® audit instrument.
The changes in 2024 are as follows:
External audits – your auditor will be completing the new element 14, and will provide you the recommendations to include in your action plan. Scoring in this new element will not count against your overall 2024 audit score, as this is just an opportunity to see how the new element works
Internal audits – Companies are able to start using the new audit tool anytime they’d like.
Culture Assessment – Effective immediately – All companies will be required to submit the new culture assessment that is included in the new audit tool. The culture assessment is a required component of the audit process for both internal and external audits, and is to be submitted with your corrective action plans.
Mandatory Date – January 1, 2025 – All companies will be required to use new fillable PDF audit tool, and will be electronically submitted here. Old printed audit tool submissions will not be accepted.
• In 2025 – Supporting documentation is no longer required. Comments must detail why points were or were not awarded. Your Auditor reserves the right to request documentation during the QA process.
• MHCA QA reserves the right to request supporting documentation if there are discrepancies in scoring or inadequate comments in the audit tool
